2. Obtaining Subordinate City Clues
To participate in the event and increase your chances of winning, you need to gather Subordinate City Clues. Here are the ways to obtain them:
- Killing Monsters: Engage in battles against common monsters, boss monsters, and event monsters to earn Subordinate City Clues.
- Gathering Resources: Collect resources through various means in the game to accumulate Subordinate City Clues.
- Purchasing Packs: While free methods exist, buying packs in the game provides a greater number of Subordinate City Clues, significantly improving your chances of obtaining rare cities.
3. Navigating the Historic City Searching Event
To begin participating in the event, follow these steps:
- Access the Event Centre: Locate the “Event Centre” tab in the game’s main menu and click on it.
- Find the Historic City Searching Event: Scroll down until you find the Historic City Searching event. If it’s not currently active, be on the lookout for its next occurrence.
4. Selecting Cities and Placing Bets
Once inside the event menu, you will find multiple rounds, each offering different subordinate cities. Here’s how to proceed:
- Explore the City Options: Click through the different rounds to explore the available subordinate cities.
- Consider Clue Amount and Win Rate: Evaluate each city’s total clue amount, win rate, and single-time clue amount before making your selection.
- Optimal Betting Strategy: It is recommended to wait until the round is nearly complete before placing your bets. By choosing cities with fewer existing bets, you increase your chances of winning the raffle and obtaining the city.
5. Using Subordinate City Clues
Once you have accumulated Subordinate City Clues and selected your preferred city, follow these steps:
- Access the City Bet Screen: Click on the arrow or icon representing the Subordinate City Clue to enter the city bet screen.
- Determine the Number of Clues: Choose the number of Subordinate City Clues you wish to use. The cost of entry depends on the rarity of the subordinate city.
- Assess Your Winning Chance: The screen will display your current chance of winning the subordinate city, alongside the number of other entries and how your entries compare.
6. Strategies When you Win
If you are lucky enough to win a subordinate city, you will receive a token. This token must be used within 24 hours or will open automatically. If your server is not in a NAP, then you have to be smart about how you to take the city. Once the token is used, you will receive coordinates to the sub city you won on the world map, you must attack and hold this city for 10 minutes in order to capture it. Be careful though, if you port next to it and hold it, people can arrest warrant your location and kill you and take the sub for themselves.
I would recommend opening the token when lots of your alliance members are online, and having an alt account capture the city. This way there is less chance enemy players know who to arrest warrant.
Other methods include attacking the sub city from your hive by using march speed ups (so enemies don’t see the march trail), and have your keep reinforced by alliance members – as you can not bubble whilst capturing the sub.
