With the update on the 09/26/2023, Evony added a new event: Quest for Treasure. This event allows players to obtain Ancient Treasure Maps, that are used to locate treasure. Sending troops to this treasure will give you rewards – although be careful as you may encounter Desert Bandits. By defeating these Desert Bandits you will receive Treasure Clue Fragments. Assembling these fragments allows you to construct the King Solomon’s Treasure – which offers great rewards! There is also a major bug allowing you to kill other alliances Desert Bandits! (This is now patched)

Obtaining & Using Ancient Treasure Maps
There are two ways to obtain Ancient Treasure Maps in the Quest for Treasure:
- Defeat Monsters
- Defeat Bosses
- Purchase in event packages
- 9.99$ Pack includes 10 Ancient Treasure Map Chests (Chance to receive level 1-3 Ancient Treasure Maps)
- 99.99$ Pack includes 20 Ancient Treasure Map 3
There are limits on the amount of Ancient Treasure Maps that can be gained from killing monsters/bosses during the event. A maximum of 60 level 1 maps, 45 levels 2, and 15 level 3.
To use an Ancient Treasure Map you should go to the “Common section” of your inventory, click on the map, then click “Use”. This will then show you the location of the treasure on the map, and it will also send you the coordinates of the treasure to your mailbox.
Desert Bandits
Desert Bandits have a chance to spawn after you collect Ancient Treasure. Early data suggests this is an approximate chance of about 33% (although subject to change as Quest for Treasure is such a new event). You will receive a message in your mailbox when a Desert Bandits spawns, and the link to their coordinates.
Desert Bandits cannot be rallied, and therefore must be killed solo*. This makes it particularly difficult for small players to defeat high level bandits, and therefore making this event more suited towards big players – meaning this event essentially excludes F2P players, especially if you are on a newer server.
The higher level the deserver bandit, the more score that can be obtained. For instance, a level 1 Desert Bandit gives around 30,000 score, whereas level 10 is around 3,500,000 score (the score varies).
*There are reports that some servers are able to rally the Desert Bandits although this is not yet confirmed.

Rewards for Quest for Treasure
There are five types of rewards available: King Solomon’s Treasure, Monarch Ranking Rewards, Alliance Ranking Rewards, Score Rewards, and items that chests drop.
King Solomon’s Treasure
By assembling Treasure Clue Fragments (gained from killing Sand Bandits), you can construct King Solomon’s Treasure. This is a chest that offers great rewards.

Desert Palace – Castle Decoration
The Desert Palace Castle Decoration can be unlocked by finishing within the top 5 of monarch scores within your server. This decoration lasts for 14 days when used.
This keep decoration offers great buffs:
- Own to Activate:
- 6% Construction Speed
- Use to Activate:
- 15% In-City Mounted Defense
- 15% In-City Mounted HP
- 5% Mounted Attack
How to Kill Other Alliances Desert Bandits (Patched)
Please note this glitch is now patched and is no longer working as of 09/27/23.
To kill other alliances Desert Bandits, you can attack them from a camp. I recommend setting camps near other alliances hives and attacking the Desert Bandits as they appear. This is most definitely a bug, and will probably be fixed soon.
