Relics are a great way to gain items and even generals. Relics are opened by players using Treasure Maps, there are 5 types of Treasure Maps:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Legenedary
- Epic
- Magic
The rewards increase with the higher the level of treasure map. Maps can be composed to be upgraded (for example 3 commons can be composed to create 1 uncommon). Maps can be earned by killing bosses / monsters.
Your relics are also open to alliance members, although beware, they are also open to being attacked by enemies! Similar to how a resource tile can be attacked by enemies. To see open alliance relics click on the “…” to open the menu, then click “Relic”. This will show you the Exploration Logs, showing Ally’s Relics, your treasure maps, and rewards preview.
When a relic first spawn it will have a number of Exploration Points, once this reaches zero the relic will disappear. There is also a time limit on relics. The more troops you send to a relic, the faster your troops will explore it.
The rewards for relic exploration is as follows:
- Resources
- Gems
- Speedups
- Monarch EXP
- Chips
- Materials
- Treasure Boxes
- Truce Agreements
- Refining Stones
- Slate Fragments
- Brick Hammers
- Blood of Ares (maximum of 2 a day)
You are probably wondering what are slate fragments and brick hammers. These can be used in the relic menu to open a relic chamber, where you can select 3 rewards from a list. Once selected you then begin smashing the 25 slate fragments using the brick hammers you collected. The three rewards you selected are guaranteed, with the other 22 being randomised from the following list:
