Chapter 3: Keep 27

Table of Contents

Congratulations, you made it to k27! It has probably been quite a while since you last looked at the guide – but hopefully you have stuck to what was said about not building troops, only buying the right gens etc. If not, do not fear, you will still create a strong account but it will take a little bit longer. At around this time you are probably close to starting SVS / BOG / BOC in the next couple of weeks if you have been playing actively.

K27 is special because it unlocks ‘red’ equipment. At k27 (and forge level 27) you unlock Dragon gear. This gear, when equipped to Generals, will give you great buffs – for further information on equipment check out this guide here. You should not have built any gear before this, and therefore should have a decent amount of materials from joining boss rallies to help build this red gear. Please note, if you are planning on coining I recommend waiting until k33 to get the next level of red gear, as this offers debuffs as well.

At this point you should continue to not build troops, this will start at k30. You have a bit more of a grind to go, but you are building a really strong base! A lot of players will be caught up producing troops that are nothing but fodder and will waste a lot of resources as they die. Especially as new players tend to have trouble keeping their bubble! This isn’t to say that building weaker troops is totally useless, as you progress you should start to explore the concept of layering – but for now don’t worry about it.

When BOC / BOG is unlocked, get involved as much as possible. You can send one troop to capture buildings that will give you points, and the more points you get the better the rewards. These rewards can even help go towards better equipment and dragons later in the game.

Keep grinding, an active player will reach k30 in about 2-4 weeks. You are almost there!
