Ahmose I’s Backstory
Amid the fires and ruins of the 16th century BC, a young pharaoh rose to restore Egypt-Ahmose I, founder of the Eighteenth Dynasty and the hero who drove out the Hyksos. Inheriting the throne in a time of turmoil, Ahmose vowed to finish what his forebears could not. With unshakable resolve and military brilliance, he waged relentless campaigns, expelling the Hyksos from the Delta and uniting Upper and Lower Egypt under one crown.
His victories marked the rebirth of a kingdom. Ahmose reformed the army, restored order, and rebuilt temples, setting the stage for the New Kingdom’s golden age. He revived cities along the Nile, renewed farming and trade, and brought life back to lands scarred by war. From decline, he forged resurgence, laying the foundation for five centuries of power and prosperity.
