Amir Timur Backstory
As the founder of the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia he became the first ruler in the Timurid dynasty. In 1402, Timur invaded Anatolia and defeated Bayezid in the Battle of Ankara. Bayezid was captured in battle and subsequently died in captivity. After the Ankara victory, Timur’s army ravaged Western Anatolia.
