Introduction to Relics

Evony relics are a type of resource tile that players can spawn in. Unlike normal resource tiles though, they don’t just gather one type of resource – in fact you can gain all four resource types from relics, and loads of other tasty rewards you wouldn’t find in a typical resource tile!

Evony relics are found on the world map, and are similar to resource tiles in the way that they can be attacked – so watch out!

Relics can be great if you are logging off for the night, or even a couple of days, due to the long length of time of which you can leave a march in them to gather rewards – for example, in the screenshot below one of my marches will be exploring for 2 days and 19 hours!

This time may end earlier than that though if the Evony relic exploration points are met (i.e. all the rewards are harvested), or the relic expires before then. A new relic will last for 3 days – with an exception for Ancient relics, which last 24 hours. One player can only open one relic at a time, so it may be worth communicating with your team if you plan to farm multiple relics at once!

Types of Relics

There are seven types of relics, with increasing levels of rarity and rewards:

• Common
• Uncommon
• Rare
• Legendary
• Epic
• Magic
• Ancient – Added 21st of February, 2025

New players, please note: The relics do have a minimum keep level for you to explore them. For example, the Magic relic’s minimum is level 20.

How to Obtain Relics

To use one of the relics your alliance members have already opened, simply press the three dots above the alliance tab, then click “Relic”.

In this menu you can see all the relics currently available from your alliance, their coordinates, their remaining time, exploration points, and rarity.

To obtain a a fresh relic in Evony, you should use a “Treasure/Relic Map” – these maps can be gained in three ways:

1. Gain Evony Relics through Killing Bosses / Monsters

Killing monsters and bosses will have a chance to drop relics. The higher level the boss, the higher level the relic drop may be. You will probably find you have acquired quite a few relics you didn’t even know about by doing this! Please note, only common to epic relics can be found this way.

2. Gain Relics through Packs

As with anything in Evony, relics can be gained through purchasing packs – although they are not common place in packs.

3. Gain Relics through Composing

Relics can be composed to reach a higher level.

• 3 Common = 1 Uncommon
• 3 Uncommon = 1 Rare
• 3 Rare = 1 Legendary
• 3 Legendary = 1 Epic
• 3 Epic = 1 Magic
• 10 Magic = 1 Ancient

This means it would take 2,430 commons to compose 1 ancient relic!

How to Compose Relics

To compose an Evony relic simply locate them in your inventory (found in the “Special” tab underneath your teleports and bubbles. Next, click on the relic you would like to compose, then click the compose button:

How to Open Evony Relics

To open a relic, navigate to them in your inventory (under “Special”), choose the one you would like to open and click “Use”. This will take you to a relic on the world map that you can now use. One thing to be aware of is that other players cannot use the relic until the summoning player has been in it. This is important incase an alliance member asks you to open a relic – you must send troops to open it so they can access it, even if its just one troop.

The rewards for relic exploration may include:

Evony Relic Chamber Rewards

You are probably wondering what are slate fragments and brick hammers. These can be used in the relic menu to open a relic chamber, where you can select 3 rewards from a list. Once selected you then begin smashing the 25 slate fragments using the brick hammers you collected.

The three rewards you selected are guaranteed, so be sure to lock in and priotise what you need the most.

The other rewards can be:

Relic Alliance Packages

Once an exploration of a relic is complete, all alliance members will receive a relic alliance package corresponding to the rarity of the relic. If an Ancient relic is complete, the person who unlocked the relic will also receive an additional Ancient relic opener package – the contents of which are currently unknown.

You can locate the alliance packages in the “Common” tab of your inventory – under the boss chests.

Naturally, the greater the rarity, the greater the rewards. You will receive one random item per package, and rewards may include:

• Gems
• Resources
• Gold
• Speed Ups
• Monarch EXP

These packages are a nice additional bonus, especially if you have numerous family members!
